After the end of the hit Anime serial Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon in 1997, six years later, there were a lot of rumors about a new season currently airing in Japan. In June 2003, Naoko Takeuchi announced offically the live action series based on the manga about the soldier of Love, now called Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.
Act 1 of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, known also as Sailor Moon Live Action, aired on October 4th 2003. The show consists of 49 acts, two special episodes, two special events, and several audio CDs. Except the five Inner Senshi - Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus, there is a new Sailor Soldier named Sailor Luna. The characters are played by young talented Japanese actors and actresses. The warriors have some new weapons and their transformations and attacks are computer-animated, however their mission is the same - they have to bring peace to the Earth.
