Sailor Mars

Rei Hino is the shrine priestess of Hikawa Shirine. She lives alone, because her father is a famous politician and Rei's mother died when the girl was very young. She is a 14-year-old traditional girl. Rei is introduced in act 3. Many people are being kidnapped near the Hikawa Shirine mysteriously and everyone thinks that Rei casts evil spells. Usagi, however, is sure than Rei-chan is a good person and she defends her from the girls, who torment the priestess.

Eventually, Rei is kidnapped by the youma of the day, too. Sailor Moon tries to help her, but she isn't able to do so. The Soldier tells the girl to transform, and after yelling out "Mars Power! Make-up!", Rei Hino becomes the Soldier of fire and passion, Sailor Mars. She beats the youma and uses her powerful fire-type attack called "Youma Taisan", destroying the monster. Meanwhile, Ami transforms and uses "Mercury Aqua Mist" to open a hole between the world and the dimension. Thus, Sailor Moon and Sailor Mars help the kidnapped people to get back to the Earth.

In the beginning of the Live-Action show, Rei is very cold with Usagi and Ami. Later, however, the girl realises that it's good to have friends (in act 4, actually), and joins the sailor Soldiers. Even later, Rei becomes Minako Aino's best friend, even though she doesn't admit that. There's obviously a strong friendship between them.

As Sailor Mars, Rei is a really very powerful Soldier. She doesn't hesitate to enter a battle against a youma. Mars' attacks become especially mighty when she regains her past memories in act 21.

Powers Mars Power! Make-up! - Rei yells out "Mars Power!" and her star bracelet is activated. Her nails become painted in red. She makes a movement with her arm around her head and yells out "Make-up!". The transformation begins - we see her spinning around and many rose petals are around her. The petals "fly" around her neck and her necklace appears. The petals also form Mars' gloves. Then the red skirt appears and after that the purple ribbon appears. Her stylish high heels are formed. Rei forms her tiara with a movement around her forehead and then she poses. Sailor Mars is ready to fight!
Youma Taisan! - Sailor Mars forms a fireball in her hands and throws it against enemies. It explodes and it become a fire stream.
Akuryou Taisan! - Sailor Mars throws many ofuda anti-evil spirits spells against enemies.
Burning Mandala! - Mars waves her hand over her head and forms a small fireball in her hands. The the sailor soldier squats and attacks striking the enemy with her. This attack was only used once, in the battle against evil Prince Endymion.
Flame... Mars... Give me your power! - Sailor Mars says this and her and Venus' Star Tambourines turn into daggers.
